What format are the photos in?
All photos that appear on this site are in JPG format. The file size displayed under the heading "Digital Items" beneath the images is the compressed file size. When downloaded the high resolution file sizes range between 17 and 28 mb. TIFF files are also availabe for all of the photos.
How can you get a rate quote to license images?
To request a rate quote you can click on "Contact Us" next to "Price" under the heading "Digital Items" beneath the image or you can send me an email requesting a quote.
When you request a quote, please provide the following information:
1. Specific Use: In what media will the image(s) be used? i.e., book, magazine,
brochure, website, etc.
2. Industry: In what industry will the image be used? i.e., publishing, advertising, etc.
3. Distribution area: i.e., local, regional, national, international
4. Usage size: i.e., 1/8 page, 1/4 page, 1/2 page, full page, etc., or screen size if on
website.
5. Total circulation: How many copies will be produced?
6. Duration: How long do you intend to use the image(s)?
How will you receive the high resolution image file?
I will make the image available for you to either download from this site or by ftp transfer.
What rights will you be granted by the license?
You will be granted a one time non exclusive right to use the image. The use will be limited to the specific purpose for which you requested a rate quote. Any other use will require another license. The license granted cannot be transfered.
If you need an exclusive license please contact me.
Are model or property releases available?
If your intended use requires a model or property release, please let me know when you request a rate quote. I will let you know whether or not releases are available for those images(s). Unless specifically confirmed in the rate quote, releases are not available. You are solely responsible for determining whether the use you intend to make of the image(s) requires a release.
Is there a lightbox?
Yes. You can register as a member to be able to set up your own lightbox(es). There is no charge for registration. You will not be sent unsolicited email and your information will not be disclosed to anyone else. If you would like to be added to my mailing list so that you can receive information on new photos added to the site, you send a request to be added to the mailing list.
What credit must be given?
The credit line should read © Shane Pinder. If the images is licensed for web use, the credit line should link to http://www.shanepinder.com.
Is it possible to purchase prints and cards?
Yes, you can purchase prints or cards of any image on this site.
To purchase a print or a card, click on the image that you want and beneath the image click "Buy Print" or "Buy Card". A toolbar will then guide you through your purchase.
The photo will be printed and shipped to you by BayPhoto, a respected professional photo lab in the U.S. The photo will be printed on Kodak Endura paper. You can select either glossy, lustre or metallic finishes.
Are E-cards available?
Yes. You can send an ecard of any image on this site free of charge! To do this, just click on the thumbnail of the image that you want to send and then click "Send as E-card". A toolbar will guide you through the process of sending an ecard.
